چکیده
This paper explores the relationship between unsupervised machine learning models, and mental models of those who develop or use them. In particular, we consider as well ‘organisational co-learning process’ that creates them, affordances. The process involves inputs originating both from human participants’ shared semantics, data. By combining these, resulting computational afford a newly shaped model, which is potentially more resistant to biases models. We illustrate this organisational with case study involving modelling via commonly used methods such dimension reduction clustering. Our describes how trading training company engaged in process, its behavior were (and afforded) by model. argues kind can play significant role learning, shaping safeguarding precisely because are unsupervised, thus lead unexpected inexplicit patterns.

the purpose of this study was to investigate iranian efl learners’ beliefs about the role of rote learning (rl) in vocabulary learning strategies; besides, the study examined if english proficiency would influence learners’ vocabulary learning strategy use. this study addresses the need for a clear understanding of the role of rl in efl vocabulary learning by looking at iranian efl learners’ ow...
15 صفحه اولMachine Learning with Dual Process Models
Similarity measurement processes are a core part of most machine learning algorithms. Traditional approaches focus on either taxonomic or thematic thinking. Psychological research suggests that a combination of both is needed to model human-like similarity perception adequately. Such a combination is called a Similarity Dual Process Model (DPM). This thesis describes how to construct DPMs as a ...
متن کاملFlexible and efficient Gaussian process models for machine learning
Gaussian process (GP) models are widely used to perform Bayesian nonlinear regression and classification — tasks that are central to many machine learning problems. A GP is nonparametric, meaning that the complexity of the model grows as more data points are received. Another attractive feature is the behaviour of the error bars. They naturally grow in regions away from training data where we h...
